Inner Light ~ A Full Moon Vinyasa Sādhana with Laura Humphreys

An invitation to move with intention, embrace your strength and illuminate the path forward.

Inspired by Kārtika Pūrṇimā, a sacred full moon in the Vedic lunar calendar traditionally associated with Lord Shiva and the triumph of light over darkness, this dynamic two-hour Vinyasa Sādhana explores the transformative power of awareness, the courage to move beyond our limitations, and the illumination of our true nature.

Within yogic mythology, Shiva is celebrated as Tripurāri, the destroyer of the three cities. Beyond the mythology lies a powerful invitation to explore the internal obstacles we create through fear, attachment and the stories we hold about ourselves.

Just as light dispels darkness, the practice of yoga invites us to move beyond the limitations of the thinking mind, awakening the clarity, strength and wisdom that already exist within us.

As the full moon begins to wane, we turn towards integration, creating space to release old patterns, cultivate greater awareness and move forward with renewed intention.

Through a progressive and intelligently sequenced Vinyasa practice, we will weave together dynamic āsana, prāṇāyāma, mantra, meditation and yogic philosophy.

Building strength, mobility and fluidity, we will explore creative transitions, balances and progressive peak postures, with accessible variations and opportunities for deeper exploration.

A practice that challenges the body, steadies the mind and reminds us that transformation is not always about becoming something more, but about releasing what prevents us from recognising who we already are.
